Department of Training and Placement provides a window of opportunities to the Students over a wide variety of Careers in a broad spectrum of Industries/Organizations in India.
At PRMIT & R, Placement time is not a mere annual ritual; it is a time for showcasing the very best in our young engineers to the industrial world. The Training & Placement Department functions with the primary aim of placing students in top-notch companies even before they have completed their courses. The department is in continuous touch with several organizations in IT as well as the core industry for campus interviews at the college. The department makes continuous efforts to identify needs of industries and students are trained accordingly to satisfy these needs to the maximum possible extent.
The Training and Placement department goes all out to train the students to meet the high industry expectations. It also conducts special Campus Recruitment Training programs for aptitude development of students. The Training and Placement department organizes seminars for students to enlighten them about placement activities, general requirements of the companies and student queries were answered through an interactive session.
It serves as a single point of contact for the Organizations on various Industry-Institute Initiatives like Campus Recruitment, Industrial Training, Guest Lectures, Faculty Development Programs, Alumni Lectures. In addition to this the T&P Department provides guidance to students desirous of pursuing higher education in India and Abroad. It regularly conducts technical lectures, career development programmes, guest lectures on personality development, resume writing, group discussions and interview techniques and provide other inputs to make our students better employable.
Over the years, the T&P department has maintained good and strong relationship with Industries across the country and as a result, has built up an impressive placement record both in terms of percentage of registered students placed, as well as the number of companies visiting the campus. The performance of students has been improved and we all must work for more commendable placement records.
The objectives of Placement & Training cell are manifold. Following few important objectives are mentioned:
- The basic objective of the training and placement department is to make the students from various disciplines, ‘industry ready’ and to provide an opportunity to the students to get placed in reputed multinationals, government jobs, NGO’s and the private sector; by adopting the multipronged strategy.
- Developing the students’ technical knowledge and soft skills to meet the corporate recruitment process.
- To motivate students to develop their overall personality in terms of career planning, goal setting and reskilling which will stand them in good stead even after getting the job.
- To motivate students aspire for higher studies and guiding them to take competitive exams such as CAT, GATE, TOEFL, GREand GMAT.
- Aiming to place the maximum number of students through campus & off-campus interviews conducted by the top notch companies.
