Computer Science and Engineering (IOT)

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (loT), formerly Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) was established in the year 2022 in order to provide an avenue to students of our region, so as to explore and gain insight into this specialized domain. The Computer Science and Engineering (loT) program aims at providing students with the key concepts of loT and its significance in the current epoch of digital transformation. CSE (IoT) is an industry and application ecosystem that integrates new-generation ICT with global industry system, as well as a key ICT infrastructure of industry intelligence. Thus, loT is an array of connected devices used in expediting the production process, maximize efficiency and minimize wastage of resources in industrial sectors. Internet of Things has four models namely, (a) Intelligent Manufacturing (b) Collaborative Manufacturing (c) Personalized Customization and (d) Service-Oriented Manufacturing. The Internet of Things enables enterprises to combine the physical and virtual worlds, allowing automated machines to collect live data, analyze it, and eventually determine actions based on it. The loT will truly transform the manner in which manufacturing processes operate. Various industry leaders are implementing loT in their processes to expound their current businesses. Government policies such as Make in India, Industrial Value Chain Initiative Forum, and Industry 4.0 are creating awareness in industries and thus influencing its adoption rates. This will create ample employment opportunities for students, in almost all industrial sectors. In order to promote Entrepreneurship, the department is also establishing an incubation center for the students so that they can establish their own startups. Thus, the course aims to instill theoretical capabilities and provide the competence required to generate actual industry solutions. With our innovative loT program, you may experience the synergy of connectivity and efficiency. Connect your equipment seamlessly, analyze important data, and obtain a competitive advantage. Take a step into an infinitely possible future with the loT program. It is crucial to weigh the advantages and disadvantages that firms could experience. IoT expertise produces experts that can help industrial organizations digitize processes, restructure organizational structures, increase productivity and efficiency, and cut waste.
