The department consists of various laboratories and facilities with modern sophisticated equipments that fulfill the requirement of syllabi as per the guidelines laid down by AICTE & SGB Amravati University, Amravati as well as to carry out research in all areas related to Mechanical Engineering.

CAD & COMPUTER LAB

Facilities
In these labs the practical’s in the subjects CSA-I, CSA-II, ORT, FEA, CAD are performed by students. Students also use the internet facilities for their projects & seminars. Various CAD and FEA packages are also used for the certificate courses in CAD/CAM/FEA

METROLOGY & METALLURGY LAB

Facilities
In these labs the practical’s in the subjects Engineering Metallurgy, Production Technology. This lab is also used for tool design of is well equipped with instruments like LTD, DTD etc. Apart from this actual press tools & cutting tools are displayed for ease of understanding of the design of various cutting & forming tools.

FLUID POWER LAB

Facilities
Fluid mechanics and machines lab is used to conduct undergraduate practical’s for two subjects FP-I and FP-II at 3rd Semester & 6th Semester level. The lab is fully equipped with the required experimental setups, models and charts.

REFRIGERATION & AIR CONDITIONING LAB

Facilities
RAC lab is utilized to conduct undergraduate practical's for the subject Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (VIII Sem). The lab is well equipped with the experimental setups, models and charts as required in the curriculum. Maintenance is also carried out in the lab.

1. Experimental Test Rig of Mini Ice plant (Capacity 50 kg. per day).

ENERGY CONVERSION LAB

Facilities
This Lab caters to the needs of following subjects: 1. Energy Conversion-I, 2.Energy Conversion-II. In all 27 different experiments, as prescribed by university belonging to above subjects can be performed in this Lab. Out of this 11 are actual performance trials and 26 are study experiments performed with the help of working models.

2. Ruston Model 4ydak Diesel Generating Set developing 40 KVA at NTP condition with control panel.
3. Cut section model of the car.
4. MEXA-324GB,Horiba Automotive CO/HC Exhaust Gas Analyzer with standard Accessories to operate on 230 v. 50 Hz.
5. Multi Cylinder Petrol Engine Test Rig with Hydraulic Dynameters.

HEAT TRANSFER LAB

Facilities
This lab is equipped with test rigs used for carrying out experiments in the subject Heat Transfer as prescribed by the University.

n ‘Theory of Machine and Machine Design Lab’ practical’s of the subject Theory of Machine-I , Theory of Machine-II, Machine Design-I & Machine Design-II are performed by the students for 5th & 6th Sem and 7th Sem B.E. courses respectively . the lab is well equipped with all the required syllabus based major experiments setups, models, various mechanisms and chart.

The Measurement Systems & Mechatronics Lab is equipped to conduct 15 various practical’s Maximum 08 practical’s are conducted in Vth semester based on list given in SGB Amravati University syllabus.

This Lab caters to the needs of following subjects: 1. I.C.Engine, 2. Automobile Engineering. In all 27 different experiments, as prescribed by university belonging to above subjects can be performed in this Lab. Out of this 11 are actual performance trials and 16 are study experiments performed with the help of working models.

Facilities
Robotics and automation lab is used to conduct undergraduate practicals for three subjects  Robotics and Industrial Applications, CIM and Mechatronics at 7th Semester & 8th Semester level. The lab is fully equipped with the required experimental setups and machines.
